Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE:VLO) shares are trading higher by 2.2% to $146.84 Monday morning after the company’s board on Friday authorized a share repurchase of up to $2.5 billion.
Additionally, Cheryl Thomas, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Valero, informed the company that she intends to retire in January 2024.
In the interim, Ms. Thomas plans to help transition her responsibilities internally as part of Valero’s succession plan.
