  • The number is above the average economist estimates of 201,000 but lower than the previous week’s revised level.
  • The previous week’s level was revised up by 48,000 from 198,000 to 246,000.
  • The 4-week moving average was 237,750, a decrease of 4,250 from the previous week’s revised average.
  • The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.3% for the week ending March 25, unchanged from the previous week’s revised rate.
  • Insured unemployment was 1,823,000 for the week ending 3/25 (+6,000), the highest level for insured unemployment since December 11, 2021, when it was 1,833,000.
