Shares of United Airlines Holdings Inc (NADSAQ: UAL) fell more than 3% during Tuesday’s trading session after the company issued a notice to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) asking it to ground all United Airlines flights until further notice due to an “equipment outage.”

What Happened: Flights that are currently en-route to their destinations will continue as planned, but the airline is holding the rest of its aircraft at their departure airports due to a “systemwide technology issue,” it said on X.

More than 260 flights have been delayed, according to flightaware.

UAL Price action: Shares of United Airlines are trading 2.88% lower to $48.27 at the time of writing, according to Benzinga Pro.
