EV giant Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has extended the estimated delivery time on the Model Y Long Range from 2-6 weeks to 6-8 weeks in China.
With the latest update, the Model Y rear-wheel drive and high-performance edition are the only Tesla vehicles one can take delivery of in 2-6 weeks in the world’s biggest auto market.
The delivery time for different Tesla vehicles and their starting prices are now as follows:

Tesla’s Gigafactory in China currently manufactures Model 3 and Model Y. The higher-end Model S and Model X cars are imported.
Why It Matters: Tesla unveiled the refreshed Model 3 in China’s mainland, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the Middle East last week. In China, it is priced 12% higher than the former Model 3 vehicle at 259,900 yuan (nearly $35,769).
The EV giant also cut prices on its higher-end Model S and X vehicles in China and the U.S. by between 14% and 21% on Friday.
