- Additive manufacturing (AM) solutions provider Desktop Metal Inc (NYSE:DM) has received a $9 million order from a major German automaker for binder jet additive manufacturing systems.
- This is the second order from the same automaker in less than twelve months, bringing the total amount of production AM systems ordered to $16.9 million.
- The binder jetting will be used for mass production of powertrain components.
- “The Additive Manufacturing industry continues to grow for mass production applications, with the most innovative companies in the world leading the way,” said CEO Ric Fulop.
- Price Action: DM shares are trading higher by 3.45% at $2.10 in premarket on the last check Friday.
