Chinese EV startups Li Auto (NASDAQ:LI) and XPeng (NYSE:XPEV) reported their July delivery numbers on Tuesday.
What Happened: Li Auto witnessed a remarkable surge in delivery numbers, reporting a year-on-year increase of 227.5% to 34,134 vehicles. This record-breaking achievement surpassed its previous month’s delivery record of 32,575 units and also marks the second consecutive month Li has crossed the 30,000 mark.
Guangzhou-based XPeng meanwhile delivered 11,008 EVs in July, a 28% increase over the prior month and marking the company’s six straight month of delivery number growth. However, the fresh delivery numbers are a slump from July last year when the company delivered 11,524 vehicles.
