Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also moved lower, trading below the key $1,900 mark this morning.
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index came in unchanged at -0.19 in March, but down from market expectations of -0.02.
Stacks (CRYPTO: INJ) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.16 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 0.8%. BTC was trading lower by 0.7% at $27,467 while ETH fell by around 1.4% to $1,850 on Monday.
