Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has always had a flair for style and design, and it could now be fixing something with the iPhone 15 series that has always remained a boring affair – the charging cable.
What Happened: Apple could finally move on from the white charging cable and launch color-matched braided USB-C cables with the iPhone 15, according to Apple prototype device collector “Kosutami”.
Initially, a tipster, “Majin Bu” shared a USB-C cable for the iPhone 15 in three different colors – black, gray, and pink. However, they were unable to ascertain the exact source, which suggests that we should take this rumor with a grain of salt.
The images suggest that the cable could be thick, and the braided design could finally give a break to iPhone users who have long complained about their charging cables being less durable.
A Break From Monotony: Almost all of Apple’s charging cables, connectors, and converters have been in white – except the Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable, which comes in black.
On the other hand, Apple has offered colorful options when it comes to other accessories like cases, straps, smart folios, and more.
Color-matched USB-C charging cables for the iPhone 15 could add some flavor to Apple’s upcoming flagship.
iPhone 15 Launch Details: The iPhone 15 series is expected to launch on September 12. Apple is expected to unveil four models – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The Apple Watch 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 are also expected to launch alongside the iPhones.
As far as the iPhone 15 series is concerned, changes like a titanium design, Action Button, a new periscope camera on the top-tier iPhone 15 Pro Max, faster 35W charging, and a USB-C port are some of the changes to watch out for.
