While China’s property sector faces a tight credit crunch, consumer stocks might be oversold after new data shows that the mainland economy is bouncing back better-than-expected, say some investors.
The CNN Money Fear and Greed index remained in the "Fear" zone on Tuesday.
The S&P 500 settled almost flat on Tuesday as investors monitored corporate earnings season. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield climbed to its highest level since Oct. 6.
U.S. stocks traded mostly higher midway through trading, with the Dow Jones gaining around 100 points on Tuesday.
The Dow traded up 0.31% to 34,090.15 while the NASDAQ fell 0.05% to 13,560.52. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.25% to 4,384.43.

• Goldman Sachs Gr (NYSE:GS) is projected to report quarterly earnings at $5.31 per share on revenue of $11.14 billion.
