The Xbox-exclusive game “Redfall,” which received heavy criticism upon its May 2023 launch, is receiving a major update.

This update includes a long-awaited 60 frames-per-second mode for Xbox Series X/S, along with various gameplay improvements and bug fixes, Kotaku reported.

The update also introduces accessibility features, stealth takedowns, and controller settings enhancements.

While these changes address some of the game’s issues, it remains uncertain whether they will fully redeem Redfall’s disappointing aspects, such as lackluster enemy encounters and an unsatisfying progression system.

Despite its troubled launch and development, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Bethesda are committed to supporting “Redfall” in the long term, hoping that ongoing updates will attract new players through Game Pass.

The game still faces challenges, as it currently has only a small player base on Steam, but this update represents a step in the right direction.
