Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also moved lower, trading below the key $2,000 mark this morning.
Zilliqa (CRYPTO: ZIL) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Render Token (CRYPTO: RNDR) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.19 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 2%. BTC was trading lower by 2.2% at $28,210 while ETH fell by around 2.7% to $1,916 on Friday.
