These days, smaller players in the alcohol industry are opting to venture into cannabis. As highlighted in a recent story by Green Market Report's John Schroyer,  Beer World located in Greene County, upstate New York, is eyeing an opportunity to take over a legal dispensary permit. The beer distributor intends to set up a cannabis shop in a building where its beer store is located. According to the Times Union, stores won't be sharing the same entrance though, and will be run separately. In the meantime, cannabis sales in North America seem to be thriving, if we factor in the number of new stores that are kicking off sales.

Curaleaf Will Ring Opening Bell At Toronto Stock Exchange To Celebrate Landmark Listing

Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. announced on Tuesday that it has complied with all the conditions listed in the conditional listing approval delivered by the Toronto Stock Exchange in connection with the listing of its subordinate voting shares on the TSX. The cannabis giant said the shares will commence trading on the TSX on Thursday, Dec, 14. under the ticker symbol "CURA." It will celebrate the milestone by ringing the opening bell of the TSX in Toronto on the same day.In connection with the TSX listing, the shares will be delisted from the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) at the close of markets on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
